On the Teratec campus, near the TGCC, the DAM Ile de France center has created the High Performance Computing Laboratory for Calculation and Simulation (LIHPC), affiliated with the University of Paris-Saclay.

It covers all the software activities necessary to high performance numerical simulation:

• parallel programming languages for heterogeneous computers,
• management of data flows and input-output for codes,
• simulation code development platforms,
• the development of numerical methods and simulation codes,
• estimating precision and numerical errors,
• the exploitation of large volumes of data from the codes (visualization and processing),
• the mesh of geometries and the management of databases for the codes.

Some of LIHPC's work is integrated into middleware operated in Computing centres. The LIHPC makes its middleware available according to the principles of free software to promote and accelerate its research, in collaboration with national and international partners. It also promotes HPC computing at national and international level.
